Why Media has been working with asset owners Palace Capital plc and managing agents Leighton Hamilton Management for over five years in a quest to drive footfall and increase online activity and engagement.

 

The Website

Why Media, created an innovative bespoke website with a fresh look but with the aim to enhance the user experience. Sol Central website was redesigned improving the navigation and functionality for a more user-friendly experience. The new website also features responsive technology and an integrated cinema feed, showcasing the latest films are showcased.

 

eSends

Why Media continue to raise the profile of Sol Central with Monthly eSends. The eSends are designed to be consistent with the branding and created to engage specifically with the target demographic of the centre. The reports of each send are analysed to monitor the responses and highlight any opportunities.

 

Social Media Management

Another way in which we achieve the objectives, is through consistent targeted social media campaigns, especially during peak footfall seasons like Christmas. Why Media launched a three week campaign across Facebook and Twitter. Working in collaboration with tenants we were able to stimulate engagement and online traffic through a series of interactive giveaways. Through the creation of engaging content and the use of keyword hashtags, we were able to encourage social media followers to interact with a post for a chance to win an appealing prize. Actions included; guessing which popular Christmas film the image was from to guessing the brands and filling in the blanks.

 

Key Features

The campaign had remarkable success reaching over 38,000 social media users and generating engagement with over 2,000 targeted users, helping to drive awareness of the centre. We exceeded our KPI significantly seeing 106% growth in users reached YOY and a rise of 134% in those who engaged compared to 2016.
